The second day of our cruise we stopped at an island called Freeport. It was a pretty small island but has the 2nd largest shipping yard in the world! We ported right by the shipping yard so when we first looked off the side of the ship, all we were thinking was, "Where the heck is the beach?" haha So we got off the ship and got on a tour bus that took us on a tour of the city and then to a beautiful place called Garden of the Groves.
The garden was beautiful and there were ducks everywhere!
It even had a cute little church and the tour guide told us that people from the cruise ship get married in the church all of the time!
After we left the Garden of the Groves, we went to the main town on the Island called Port Lucaya. It had lots of cute little shops and of course a casino. It cracked me up how all of the old people on our ship just wanted to be in the casino ALL of the time.
The water was SO blue everywhere! That was probably my favorite part about the Bahamas. The water was beautiful and it was even kind of warm.
That night was the elegant dining night, so after we got back to the ship we had to shower and get dressed up.
We planned to match each other and I loved it. haha There were photographers all over the ship to take your pictures and they made us pose like we were at a high school dance. It was really kind of fun:) All we were missing was a corsage! haha
Probably my most favorite part of the cruise was the towel animals they would leave for us in our room every night! Steve laughed at me all week because I would get so excited to go back to the room and see what animal they had made for us haha!
We went to a show after dinner called "Extreme Country". We should have known from the title that it would be nothing but country music. Poor Steve, I thought he was going to get up and walk out after like the 2nd song because he hates country music haha. He sat through the whole show though with only a few complaints. We got some ice cream afterwards and then headed to bed:)
