A Look Back at 2011

Wow I can't believe 2011 is over already! It is crazy how fast time flies by and crazy how much has happened in the past year. Here is a quick recap of 2011 and all of the great things that happened in the past year!

January: I didn't take any pictures in January apparently because the earliest pictures I have from 2011 start in February. The only significant thing that I even remember happening in January was my nephew Kolby's baptism but sadly I don't have any pictures from that day for some reason. Steve got called to be the executive secretary in ward in January as well.

February: We celebrated our 2nd Valantines Day together by going to see the movie Valentines Day! ha I don't remember anything else exciting happening in Feb.

March: We went to California for spring break and it was a blast! We went to Disneyland, Knotts Berry Farm, and the beach of course!

April: My sweet little 91 year old Grandma Stokes died conference weekend.

I got a bike for an early birthday present and we went to Zion for Easter weekend.

That was my first time ever going to Zion and it was beautiful:)

May: Ruston graduated from SUU with his BS degree and he and Alesha moved to Salt Lake and we have missed having them in Cedar ever since:(

We celebrated my 23rd birthday.
We moved out of our first home together as husband and wife, and moved to our new apartment 2 blocks away from the old one.

June: It was finally warm enough to go camping and we made our first trip of the season with Dawn and Tyson:)

We went to opening ceremonies of the summer games with Kyden and got rained on.

We went to the Jenson Family Reunion in Heber City and slept in a cabin with almost every single member of my family!

One of my best friends/old roommate left on her mission to the Dominican Republic. Love you Shan:)

Our adorable little niece Preslie was born:)

July: We ran the Liberty 5k on the 4th of July in Richfield. Steve ran it in 22 mins, and I ran it in 30 mins.

My mom rented a huge water slide for all of us to play on over the 4th of July weekend and it was a blast!

One of my best friends from high school, Laurie, got married on the 6th in the Manti Temple and we got to be there for her sealing:)

We finally bought a grill for Steve YAY!

We went to Lake Powell and loved every minute of it!

August: We went to Lake Powell a second time and decided it is officially our favorite place ever!

We had our ward campout at Kolob Reservoir and had a blast camping with good friends from the ward.

We celebrated Steve's 24th birthday and I surprised him with an Ipod touch.

We went to Loa to see Steve's Grandpa and Grandma Hatch be the grand marshals in the Wayne County Fair.

We ran the 1st Annual Fishlake Relay Race and about died!

September: We went to Clayton's wedding in the Salt Lake Temple, and we celebrated Labor Day weekend with both of our families.

We went to cute little Preslie's blessing.

We had a birthday bash for my dad's 60th birthday.

We flew to Tennessee for Steve's interview for Optometry school at SCO. Steve went to 2 other interviews for schools in Arizona and California. Steve got accepted into all 3 schools!

We celebrated our 2nd anniversary by hitting some glow in the dark golf balls at the golf course:)

October: Steve enjoyed his last elk hunt in Utah for a few years, sadly he didn't get anything though. After a lot of stress and a few tears we decided we are going to Tennessee for Optometry school!! We attended the annual Jenson Halloween party dressed as Thing 1 and Thing 2.

November: We ran the turkey trot 5k in St. George.

We went to Ruby's Inn at Bryce Canyon for Thanksgiving dinner with both of our parents:)

December: We enjoyed our 3rd Christmas together with both of our families in Richfield, and had a fun get together with friends to reign in the new year on New Years Eve:)

So here is to 2012! I'm sure it will be just as great as 2011 was! We are excited and nervous for all of the new changes that the new year is going to bring. Happy New Year everybody:)
