This time of the year makes me very sad because the time has come to put the flip flops away and break out socks and shoes. I know that most people really love the fall and I would too, but in Cedar we don't really get to have fall weather. It goes straight from hot to freezing cold! Seriously, just 2 weeks ago I was running outside and loving it because the weather was beautiful! Then last week all of the sudden the weather changed and it is freezing and it even snowed!? Really? Why can't the snow just stay away until December? Needless to say I didn't wear flip flops once last week which means I guess that flip flop season has ended and winter is here to stay until probably May or June! And I knew that this would happen as soon as it got cold because I LOATHE the cold weather, but I haven't gone running once in the past week! What a joke right? How am I supposed to train for a 1/2 marathon in this terrible cold weather? I guess I need to get some warm jogging clothes to wear. But, due to the freezing cold outside, I have made friends with Jillian Michaels. Seriously these 2 dvds are awesome!

I have had a few different people recommend these workouts to me and thanks to my new workout buddy Kelli, I have been trying them out! They are great because they are only 20-25 minutes long and they work your butt off. Kelli is also doing an 8 week diet called "Crack the Fat Loss Code" and has inspired me to join her because she has already lost 8 pounds and she is only on week 2! Can you believe that?

I know some of you are probably thinking it sounds crazy, but it is a totally healthy diet! The first week you just cut out your carbs and eat pretty much all protein and veggies. Then in the following weeks, you can start adding your carbs and fruits and stuff back into your diet. This is perfect for me because I am a total carb eater. I started today and it is going to be hard, but hopefully I will have awesome results and it will be worth it. I debated on whether or not to blog about this, but I decided I would because it makes me accountable and motivates me to stick to it! This way I feel like I have to answer to somebody:)
