My baby girl is 3! We had such a fun day and I may or may not have went a little crazy with the birthday presents. I think I was just so happy that our sweet girl is happy and healthy this year for her birthday, that I wanted her to have the best day ever! And she knew that is was her birthday and she was the sweetest little princess the whole day. She didn't talk back or tell me no all day long. It was a dream! The dream ended the very next day sadly and she threw like 5 massive temper tantrums. But such is the life of 3 years olds I guess! She requested a "Minnie and Daisy birthday" for weeks, so that's exactly what she got and she was so excited! We did go to lunch at Chick-fil-a with her friends Sage and Alison the day before her birthday, but yours truly forgot to take pictures.
We woke her up a little earlier than normal so that she could open her presents before Steve left for school.
Grandma Sheila gave her this adorable fairy costume which she wore all day long:)
She was pretty excited about her bike and kept telling me over and over, "Thank you so much for my bike Mom!" She wanted to ride it all day but it was cold and rainy, so we had to wait for dad to get home and then he took her out to the garage to ride it.
We went to the mall and rode the little train once Steve came home and Ellie LOVED it! She looked at me and said, "This is really fun Mom. I love this train!" haha
So between the presents and the train ride, I think she had a really fun day. I was kind of emotional all day long for who knows why really. Being a mom is hard. Some days are so much fun and I swear my kids are the cutest kids in all the world. Then the very next day I swear all they do is whine and tell me no all day long. But I truly am so grateful that I get to be a mom. I love my kids so much and on their birthdays I can't help but think about how special they are.
I love you Ellie girl! I know that you were meant to come to our family and that you were supposed to be my first baby. To teach me how to be a mom. I knew you were waiting to come to us before I even got pregnant. I knew as soon as I got a positive pregnancy test that I was having a girl and that your name would be Ellie. You hold such a special place in my heart. I'm so blessed to be your mom and I pray that you will always want to be my best friend like you do right now. Happy Birthday Ellie Bug!
