Little Man's 5 month stats:
*Weighs 14 pounds 3 ounces.
*25.5 inches long.
*Wears 3-6 month size clothes.
*Wears size 2 diapers.
*Still spits up A LOT!
*Eats 4.5 ounces every 3-3.5 hours.
*Rolled from back to belly for the first time on 10/7/15. Now that he knows how to roll both directions, he will not lay still! Changing his diaper and getting him dressed have both become really difficult! haha
*Goes to bed around 7:30 or 8pm and usually wakes up to eat between 5:30 and 6:30am, then back to sleep until 8am. We had a solid 7 day stretch where he slept from 8pm-8am without eating, and I was beginning to think we were home free. But of course I'm not that lucky. This past week he has woken up every morning right around 6am to eat. I won't complain though. I'm just happy he goes back to sleep until 8, and that he doesn't wake up multiple times a night to eat:)
*He currently has his first cold. It breaks my heart to hear him cough so hard. Luckily, he's still pretty happy.
*He has gotten SO much better at napping. I think we are finally on a nap schedule! He naps at 9 or 10am, at 1pm, and then again between 4:30-5pm. The length of his naps are anywhere from 45 minutes to 2.5 hours, so we're still getting the hang of that. But he usually goes right to sleep without crying for his naps, so that is huge!!
*He is generally a really happy baby as long as he isn't hungry and he's had a good nap!
*He is so smiley! Any time we talk to him, he smiles:)
*He LOVES Ellie! He loves to just watch her run around and play, and he loves when she gets right in his face and talks to him.
*Has learned to take his binky out of his mouth, but hasn't quite figured out how to put it back in yet.
*Grabs at anything in front of him, and of course tries to put it in his mouth once he has it in his hands.
*Tries to grabs his toes when I change his diaper, and then he giggles once he finally gets ahold of his feet.
*Rarely does a full out belly laugh, but he has the cutest little giggle ever. And it seems to be only Dad that can really get him to laugh.
*Loves to lay on his back and put his burp cloth over his face. It makes me nervous because I'm worried he's getting smothered, but every time I move the burp cloth he has the biggest smile on his face. So I guess it's just his way of playing peek-a-boo with me!
*Loves to play patty cake and just grins the whole time.
I'm finding myself loving this little man more and more every day! I really struggle with the newborn stage because I feel like all you do is feed them, try to get them to nap, and get them on a schedule. I remember feeling the same way with Ellie. Once they hit 4-5 months old, it's like they're little personalities start to come out and they get SO fun! I guess it's the payoff for all of the exhaustion and hard work the first few months. I love that he is getting more and more interactive and we can actually play with him now. I sure do love you Little Man! And that adorable smile of yours basically melts my heart every single day:)
He sounds so much like Penelope! To the naps and sleeping (down to the times of naps!), rolling everywhere when changing diapers, and putting the burp rag over his face and smiling about it. I wish they could have little play dates. :)
