Utah!

We flew out to Utah on May 7th and it was so nice to be with family!  Every time we are there, I am reminded of how much I really love Utah.  Not just because it is home and all of our family members live there, but because it is BEAUTIFUL!  Seriously I just can't get over how much I miss the mountains, and the fresh dry air!  I especially miss the grass.  I know it sounds crazy, but Tennesippi doesn't have grass.  We are just surrounded by weeds filled spiders and bugs.  I just love the grass in Utah so much!  It's beautiful too:)  Anyways, I took lots of pictures while we were there so I'll just let them do the talking.

The night before our 6:30am flight, Ellie had a temperature of 104 degrees. It started out at 102 so I figured she probably had an ear infection and we decided to just run her to the Urgent Care since the Pediatrician's office was already closed for the night. Her temp had climbed to 103 when the nurse took it at the Urgent Care so she told us we better take her to the ER. Steve asked if she would just check her ears for an infection, but she said this was the 3rd baby today with that high of a fever so something must be going around. We were kind of bugged, but being first time parents and all we decided to go to the ER even though she was NOT acting sick at all. She just had a mystery fever!
So after sitting for 2 hours in the waiting room at the ER, they finally took us back to a room at 10:00pm. Luckily the doctor came in to see us right away.  Ellie's temp was up to 104 at this point, but she was still just happy as can be! The doctor checked her ears and took a urine sample, both of which were clear. The nurse gave her some tylenol and some motrin, and then we sat there for another 2.5 hours. So at 12:30 we decided this was a waste of our time, and we told the nurse we were going home. At that point the doctor finally came back in and told us that Ellie probably just had a virus and there was nothing we could really do for her. Really? Thanks. Wish you would have said that 2.5 hours ago when her urine sample came back clean. So we learned something in parenting that night. NEVER EVER take your kids to the ER unless they have a bone coming out of their skin, or they are dying.
Needless to say, we were zombies the next day on our flight after only getting 3 hours of sleep.
But Ellie crashed so that was good:)

Steve stayed in Utah with us for 1 week and then had to come back to go back to school.  Ellie and I stayed for a week longer and enjoyed being able to play outside in the sunshine and spend a little more time with family.

Ellie and Braylee.  Ellie loved having cousins around to keep her entertained constantly.  I think she has been bored since we've been home, and I know that I have!

Did I mention that I love the grass in Utah?:) Seriously though, I can't wait until we move back and can play on the lawn every day!

I know these are random pictures, but I just had to snap some of the beautiful mountains while we were out on a walk one morning. I miss them so much!

Steve and I helped my mom repaint her family room while we were there. I love how it turned out:)
Steve built these shelves for all of her pictures. Thanks Pinterest for all of the wonderful DIY projects!
I sewed my mom some bright new fun pillows to put on her couches.

We celebrated my birthday while we were home with some Better Than Sex cake! It was delish as always:)

My great-grandfather's grave in Monroe.
My grandpa and grandma Jenson's grave in Monroe.
These two. I just love them:)

All of Steve's family was in town for Mother's Day and Janae got the 4 grand-daughters matching outfits, so of course pictures had to be taken! We did get a picture with all of the grandkids together, but I can't find it. That's okay, the girls are cuter anyways;)
We had a wonderful trip. We just love Utah and our families so much and I can't hardly believe that we get to move back next summer! It seems so close, but yet still so far away!
