34 Weeks!

34 weeks down and only 6 more to go! I'm starting to get REALLY excited and REALLY nervous.....but mostly excited! The more I think about labor and giving birth, the more nervous I get.....so I just try not to think about it too much. But on the other hand, the more I think about actually seeing my baby girl and holding her, the more excited I get! So I'm trying to focus on that instead of the scary labor and delivery part of having a baby! haha
34 weeks. I'm still feeling pretty good at this point. I had my first Braxton Hick contraction this week. I'm not going to lie, it hurt pretty bad! It last for about 5 minutes and the left side of my back and ribs felt bruised when it stopped. I asked my Dr about it, and he said that is probably what it was. He told me to drink lots of water and that can help so you don't have them. Luckily I haven't had any more. Sleeping at night is getting pretty uncomfortable, I get up to pee usually twice every night, and I have had sciatica since about week 15 I think. Which is weird because I thought it didn't really start until your baby got pretty big? So I guess apparently my baby has been sitting really far back towards my spine, my whole pregnancy. Which is fine. I'm not complaining. I will definitely take the sciatica over throwing up any day. I feel really lucky that I haven't thrown up at all throughout my whole pregnancy. I love love LOVE feeling baby girl kick and move around all day long. I love when Steve actually gets his hand on my stomach in time to feel her moving around too. For some reason every time I tell him to feel my stomach, he will put his hand on there, and then she will just stop moving. Maybe we are going to have a stubborn little girl on our hands?! haha

I'm done working now. I wanted to be done a few weeks before the baby comes so I could have some time to be lazy, and work on projects that I have been wanting to do for a long time. I have been sewing like crazy the past week or so. After lots of debate, and changing my mind about a million times (I'm seriously the most indecisive person ever), I decided that I wanted to make my own crib bedding. And making it turned out to be WAY cheaper than buying the crib bedding that I wanted. Thanks to Jo-Ann's for having an awesome sale, and to the super sweet lady who checked me out and gave me a 50% off coupon to use, I got everything I needed for less than 50 dollars! What a steal right?
The nursery is still very much a work in progress, but here is the crib skirt that I made. This is probably the most complex thing I have ever sewn, but I love how it turned out and I am really proud of myself for not just caving and spending a 150 dollars on Etsy to buy one! And here are a couple of other small projects that I have made.
 My car seat canopy.
And my hooter hider of course. Every new mom needs one of these bad boys right?! haha
