So Friday morning (June 10th) we drove up to Heber City to go to the Jenson Family Reunion. We stayed at the Heber Valley Campground which is owned by the church and is on the mountain just above Heber City. It is really beautiful up there and my whole immediate family and most of the extended family came and we had a really good time! My dad's sister and his brothers and their families who all live out of state came and it was so good to see them because I haven't seen a lot them in 2 years! We all camped in these 4 little one room cabins that are just filled with wooden bunk beds! Steve and I took our air mattress and slept on the floor in one of the cabins along with 3 of my brothers, their wives, 6 of my nieces, and 2 of my nephews. So needless to say none of the adults got much sleep that night! ha! It is funny though because while all of us adults tossed and turned all night long and were kept awake by the babies waking up and crying, my older nieces and nephews slept right through it all and were ready to get up as soon as the sun came up! It was a really long night, but I still kind of enjoyed it just because it was fun to be in the cabin with my brothers and sisters-in-law. And now we have lots of funny stories to tell everyone from our extremely long night together!:) But other than our sleepless night, we had a lot of fun. There was a ropes course that we did which was terrifying! I don't know why I felt like I needed to do it too? I guess just so that my brothers and husband couldn't call me a baby? I was scared to death the whole time I was doing it though. Really the older I get, I'm just getting more and more afraid of heights. Steve did the course like a pro though and it only took him about 2 minutes to do the whole thing. Me on the other hand, I was about in tears because I was so scared while I was up there. All of the little kids did it a lot faster than me! After the ropes course, we had a delicious dutch oven dinner cooked by my dad and brothers. Dutch oven in my favorite:) Then on Saturday, the younger kids did a lot of crafts and we just mostly sat around and visited with everybody. It was so good to see my cousins that I don't see very often and to just get to chat with them. And a big thanks goes out to my mom and dad because they put a lot of work into this reunion, as well as everything they do, just to make sure that we are all happy and enjoying our time we get to spend with family. I really do love my family and my parents are the best ever!
