8 Months!

Don't worry I'm only 2 weeks late on posting this.  Better late than never though right?!

Ellie's 8 Month Stats:

*Weighs 17 lbs 8 oz.

*Wears 6-9 month size clothes and size 3 diapers.

*Flew on airplane for the 2nd time to go to Utah for Christmas break!

*She was such a good sleeper the whole time we were in Utah.  She slept through the night every night while we were there until the last 4 days when she started cutting her top teeth and got a cold. Poor girl:( Hopefully once she is finally over this cold, she will go back to sleeping through the night again.

*Has 4 teeth now. 2 front teeth on the bottom, and 2 front teeth on the top.

*She has started to really love baby food! She will basically eat whatever we feed her, but I think she likes sweet potatoes and squash the best.

*Eats every 4 hours, but we are down to nursing only right after she wakes up in the morning, and right before bedtime. The rest of the day she eats baby food and has a bottle.

*She has finally figured out how to feed herself her little yogurt puff snacks.  She sticks 2 whole fingers in her mouth every time she puts one in her mouth though haha!

*She has learned to clap, and I think it is so cute:)

*She can go from sitting on her butt to the crawling position, but then doesn't know what to do once she is in that position. She just rocks back and forth on her hands and knees.

*Still rolling all over the place and she grabs at EVERYTHING! Just today she grabbed her spoon out a jar of applesauce and flung applesauce all over the wall, and floor in the kitchen.

*LOVES people! Especially other babies and little kids. I wondered how she would do around all of the grandkids while we were in Utah for Christmas, but she LOVED all of the chaos. She was constantly being passed around from kid to kid and she would just giggle and smile at everybody that held her.

*Loves to watch Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.

*She is constantly bouncing up and down. Even when she is being held or sitting on your lap.

*Takes 2 naps a day. One in the morning for about 1.5 hours, and one in the afternoon for about an hour and 10 minutes. Sometimes when she is really tired in the evenings, she will actually snuggle up to me and take a nap, but it is rare. Evenings are usually her whiney time during the day.

*Loves to sit in her bumbo in front of the mirror while mom is getting ready. She loves to see herself in the mirror!
*Says mama, and dada all of the time.  She will even say dada on cue when we tell her to.
*Loves grabbing her toes and pulling her socks off.
*She is obsessed with licking her lips and sticking her tongue out lately. Silly girl:)

 

 

Yeah we didn't get a single picture without that tongue! haha We sure do love you Ellie Girl!
