We had our ward Halloween party 2 nights ago and it was so much fun! We did a carnival and a trunk or treat, so we spent most of the night helping out with the cakewalk since the relief society was in charge of that. (I'm the RS secretary in case I've never mentioned it.) We had so much fun dressing up, and I have to give props to Steve for coming up with our theme this year. I knew that I wanted Ellie to be an owl since like August, but Steve came up with the idea for us to be bird watchers so that we could roll with a family Halloween theme. Haha it was perfect!
I spent a grand total of $1.34 on Ellie's costume! Thanks Liz for the onesie which I just sewed the feathers and wings onto. And thank you Katie for letting us borrow Blakely's adorable owl hat.
Doesn't she make the cutest little owl ever?!
And thanks to Goodwill, the public library, and Lauren for making us the most awesome bird watchers ever! We really do love dressing up for Halloween. Both Steve and I started laughing when we saw this picture because we looked so tacky! haha I'm trying to come up with another place for us to go in our awesome costumes though since it's not like Ellie can really go trick or treating this year.
