What We've Been Up To

We've been touring around Memphis a little bit the past couple of weeks and one thing that I love about this area is that there is a ton of history out here.  The cities along the Mississippi River played a major part during the Civil War, so there are historical sites all over the place here.
We went to the Davies-Manor which was a cotton plantation that the Confederate army tried to take over during the Civil War.  The house was built during the 1830s.
Then we went to the Memphis National Cemetery which was so cool because it is all veterans and soldiers buried there.  There are tons of Civil War soldiers buried there.  It reminded me of a miniature Arlington Cemetery.

We also ventured over to Sun Studio where Elvis recorded some of his music.  We went there during Elvis week, so it was packed with a bunch of crazed Elvis fans.  It amazes me how much people love Elvis out here.  75,000 people come to Memphis every year during Elvis week, can you believe that?!

We also celebrated Steve's 25th birthday on Sunday.  We went out for some ribs and to see the new Bourne movie to celebrate his birthday Saturday night.  Steve is truly my best friend and the best husband ever! I love you babe and hope you had a good birthday!  And just think in another 25 years, you get to have your first colonoscopy:) haha

  1. Looks like you guys are having a blast! We miss you guys so much too! Seriously, I'm pretty sure everyday we either say how we miss you guys or think about something funny that we did with you guys. Aww man; were pretty much going to have to have conjoining medical offices when the guys grow up so we can be together again! :) hope school is going well for Steve!
