We went to Vegas Friday night after Steve's graduation with Steve's brother Scott and sister-in-law Mindy. We stayed in a Comfort Inn that was across the street from the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. It wasn't the nicest place I have ever stayed before, but it wasn't bad at all and it was cheap! We walked over to the Hard Rock right after we checked into our room and looked around at all of the guitars and costumes of all the musicians that have played at the Hard Rock. It was actually really cool to see all of that stuff. It made me want to go to a concert really bad! After walking around the Hard Rock for a while, we walked to the strip to see the fountains at the Bellagio.
Waiting for the fountains to start.

Saturday morning we went back to the Bellagio to see the garden. I love seeing the garden there because it changes every time we go and it always amazes me that they can make anything out of flowers! haha
This picture was so cool! From far away it looked like a painting, but it is actually all made out of fresh flowers! Amazing right?!
After seeing the garden, we went to the Forum shops at Ceasars Palace to do a little shopping and then to the Premium outlets to do a lot more shopping! haha Poor Steve. He actually didn't complain at all though. Probably because we were shopping for him instead of just going into girly stores for me the whole time.
Scott, Mindy, me, and Steve outside of Ceasars Palace:)
I made the conclusion on Saturday while shopping, that shopping really is not that fun when you are poor and on a budget! I know what you are all thinking. You can't believe I really just said that right? haha but it is true. Shopping IS my favorite when I actually have money to spend, but when I feel guilty about every dime I spend because we are trying to save money, it really just sucks all the fun right out of it!
Steve and I had never been to Hoover Dam before, so after our unsuccessful shopping outing, we drove out to Boulder City. It was really cool to see the dam and the new bridge. It amazes me how people can build these incredible structures! Yes, I'm kind of a nerd I know, but I really wish we would have gone on a tour of the dam while we were there. Next trip I guess:)

On the bridge overlooking the dam and Lake Mead.
Lake Mead
That bridge is pretty awesome right?
Kissing across the state line:) I was standing in Nevada, and he was standing in Arizona!
We had a really fun trip! Thanks for going with us and making us laugh the whole time Scott and Mindy:)
You didn't take a DAM Tour!?!
ReplyDeleteI was a little bummed that we couldn't get any dam fish bait or go on a dam tour. We got there a little too late. And its kind of expensive. We did end up renting that movie when we got back though.
