Parker's 8 Month Stats:
*Weighs 17 pounds 2 ounces.
*Wears size 3 diapers.
*Still wearing 3-6 month size clothes, but he is definitely getting too big for them.
*Has 5 teeth total. 2 on the bottom and 3 on top! He looks so cute with those top teeth:)
*Pulled himself up to standing for the first time on 3/28 and now he tries to pull himself up to everything constantly! Needless to say, he has been falling down and bonking his head A LOT lately!
*He is SO busy! Won't even sit still long enough to drink his bottle. I have to give him something to hold in his hands and look at while he drinks his bottle, otherwise he gets bored and wants to crawl away after only drinking 2 ounces!
*Still sleeping like a champ for the most part. Goes to bed between 7:30 and 8pm and sleeps until 7 or 7:30am. He did get some weird viral thing conference weekend and it threw him off a little bit. He had a fever of 102 degrees, a runny nose, and a nasty cough. The poor little guy:( We felt so bad for him. We had like 3 days where he wouldn't drink more than 3 ounces at a time, and he wouldn't nap for longer than 20 minutes. We went for a lot of drives over the weekend because he would only sleep in his carseat for some reason. Ellie had the exact same symptoms so I figured it was probably just a viral thing that needed to pass, but there really is nothing worse than having a sick baby. And I was starting to get pretty worried about him when he refused to drink his bottle. Luckily, Monday he finally crashed and took a couple of really long naps and started to act like his happy self again.
*He's pretty much dropped his 3rd nap. But most days both his morning and afternoon naps are about an hour and 15 minutes or longer and he seems to be pretty happy. We have had a couple of days where he'll take a short afternoon nap and then be grumpy so I'll try and lay him back down for a 3rd nap, but he just ends up playing in his crib. But really any nap is better than the 20 minute ones he was taking while he was sick!
*He's starting to wave when you say hi to him or tell him to say hi to somebody else. He mostly just flaps his arm up and down and it's the cutest thing ever!
*Loves to play patty cake and peek-a-boo with Ellie.
*Loves to splash and play in the tub, but since he is SO busy and constantly moving, I'm paranoid he is going to drown the whole time he's in there.
*Loves to eat food that he can feed himself. He likes baby food too, especially bananas and carrots.
*He's finally starting to crawl on his hands and knees, but he mostly still army crawls everywhere and is really fast at it!
*He loves Mom and Dad is starting to get a little anxiety about being left in the room by himself. And a couple of times he has started to cry when somebody else held him.
*He's super smiley most of the time and jabbers a lot. If Steve and I are talking to each other, he'll start squealing and I think he's trying to join the conversation:)
*Ellie squeals at him and he'll squeal right back. It's like he's mimicking her!
*He really loves Ellie and wants to watch her all of the time.
Little Man doesn't sit still for more than 5 seconds these days so it was basically impossible to get a good picture this month! haha
And then Ellie wanted to join in on the fun and this was the best I could get of the 2 of them......
