Thanksgiving

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving this year.  I thought that I would be super homesick not being able to be with family, but I wasn't at all.  Not that I don't love my family or anything, but I actually really love having Thanksgiving dinner with friends.  It was so low-key and this year Steve and I even tackled the turkey.  It wasn't nearly as hard as I always thought cooking a turkey would be, but I definitely could not have handled cleaning it out and stuff myself.  Fortunately raw meat doesn't gross Steve out like it does me!  We watched the parade, ate way too much delicious food with our friends the Stotts, Smiths, and Callisters, and even did some Black Friday Shopping online. (Thanks to free shipping, I don't think I will ever fight the crowds for Black Friday again!)

Emily teaching me to make gravy from the turkey drippings:)

The babies. Blakely, Milo, and Ellie. They weren't nearly as excited about Thanksgiving as their parents were:)
Blakely was obsessed with my tupperware for some reason. She carried it around all night! Silly girl:)

 Happy Thanksgiving!
I have so much to be grateful for.  I love Steve and Ellie SO MUCH!  I am so grateful to be mom, and even though it is the hardest thing I have done so far in my life, I wouldn't trade Ellie for anything.  I'm grateful for wonderful friends here in MS.  There is no way I would survive this whole having a husband in Optometry School experience without all of our amazing friends here!  I'm grateful for family, and for technology so that we can keep in touch with them while we live across the country.  And most of all, I'm grateful for the gospel of Jesus Christ.  The gospel and serving others truly is the only way to have true joy.
