37 Weeks!

As of yesterday I am 37 weeks prego which means that I am officially full term!  Yahoo!  This baby could technically come any day now.....but I'm not getting my hopes up just quite yet.  At my appointment yesterday, my doctor said that I am 70 percent effaced and dilated to a one.  That is progress from last week though, because I was only 50 percent effaced and barely dilated to 1/2 a centimeter at my 36 week appointment.  So, slowly but surely I am making progress and hopefully baby girl will come sooner rather than later.  At this point I feel like the days are going by slower than cold tar.  Why is it that the whole pregnancy has flown by really fast and now that I am down to only 3 weeks left, I feel like May 1st will never get here?  I think the worst part is that we have no idea when I am actually going to go into labor.  Who knows, maybe she will come a week late?  I guess I need to start learning to be patient.

 I had an ultrasound last week at my 36 week appointment to check the growth of the baby and get an estimate on her weight.  My doctor said that would be my last ultrasound as long as everything continues to go normally and the baby stays head down.  It's pretty crazy to think that the next time we see baby girl will be after she is born!

We didn't get any good pictures of her face last week because she was sucking her thumb the whole time and had her whole hand covering her face.  Silly girl:)  The ultrasound tech estimated her weight was 6 pounds 8 ounces already!  I know that they are never exactly dead on, but I am really curious to see how big she really is.  We could also see her hair in the ultrasound:)  It is so crazy to look back at all of the ultrasound pictures and see how big baby girl has gotten.  And now she even has hair on her little head!  Both Steve and I hope the next 3 weeks go by SUPER FAST because we just can't wait any longer to have our little girl here!
